Eighty Mile Beach to Broome
Day 20 – August 8,
2014 – Eighty Mile Beach to Broome - distance travelled: 383 kms - 33oC
high; 10oC low. Another
driving day after a quick walk on the beach in the morning. Broome is the first place we also visited in
2011 and then we had a hard time finding a reasonable spot to camp. This time we found a spot a few blocks from
the beach in the first campground we tried.
Don had a quick dip in the ocean at Cable Beach and after that we spent
some time exploring the Chinatown area which was supposed to have some touristy
shops. Not much there though, so we
checked out the tourist information and had a 30 cent cone at McDonalds and
headed back to the campground. Lots of blog work tonight before going to
bed.
